to be disciples...to make disciples.
About UsFirst Presbyterian Church Staff Rev. Waring Porter wporter@fpccorinth.org
Waring and Laurin Porter have three children. Their son Alex is a junior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Their daughter Mary Grace will be a junior at Corinth High School. Their youngest son Drew will be a freshman at Corinth High School. Waring became our pastor in July 2017. Gregg Parker - Director of Discipleship
His first loves are his wife Deb to whom he has been married for over 30 years, and who has trusted him with her blessings in ministry throughout their marriage (and longer) and who is his confidant, earthly joy and first ministry... one daughter Kara along with her husband Jake and their three children, and their sons Jordan and Joel. He was first our Director of Student Ministries, and in 2020 became our Director of Discipleship. Brett Grantham - Director of Children's Ministries, Senior Adult Ministries, and Media.
The Brett began serving FPC as Director of Children's Ministry and children's choir director 15 years ago. A few years later he felt the call to serve and minister to senior adults, which is our Joy Riders. It is a great privilege and blessing to serve God. It is his sincere prayer that God will be glorified through these ministries.
Married to his wife Kimberly (pictured) for 32 years, their first ministry is their family which includes sons Brett, his wife Samantha and their granddaughters Tilly and Charlotte, and their youngest son Cullen. Brett is in the U.S. Army and Cullen is an electrician and lives in Memphis. Brett also trains Labrador Retrievers for obedience, duck hunting and bomb detection.
Lisa Kramer - Church Secretary (pictured with her daughter, Bailee)
Lisa has been a member of First Presbyterian for thirteen years and has been in the church office since June, 2011. She and her late husband, Bill, and daughter, Bailee, moved to Corinth in 2007 and made FPC their church home that December. Originally from Oklahoma City, Lisa has lived in many places including Munich, Germany, Owensboro, KY and Atlanta, GA before making Corinth her home. She enjoys visiting her daughter Bailee in Georgia, spending time with friends, reading and volunteering.
She considers it a privilege to be a part of the FPC staff and church family.
One of her favorites: "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:21
Jan Pike – Director, Sanctuary Choir
A native of Booneville, Jan first came to the FPC Choir more than twenty years ago by way of Dr. Eugene Doran and Krossroads Kollection. During the years she has served twice as interim choir director—once during 1995 and again from August 2006 to the present.
Her musical interests vary from classical, to musical theater, to bluegrass, as she has twice been a soloist with the Corinth Symphony and has appeared in over thirty productions with Corinth Theatre-Arts. Currently, she enjoys singing and playing the mountain dulcimer each week with the Magnolia Dulcimer Club and Heartland Bluegrass Band along with her husband, Doug, who plays upright bass.
